Enchanted from the Assyrtiko of Santorini and from the uniqueness of the excuisite island's terroir, the Winemaker Apostolos Mountrichas "sailed" with the Aegean Sea dolphins up to Santorini in 2012, where he launched the Santorini wines, Dolphins, Afoura and Grace.

The Avantis team reopened an historical Canava of the island for wine tastings and wine tours from 2015-2017 in Messaria.

Since 2019 the Avantis Cellar Door  welcomes the winelovers at it's new venue in Fira (Kontochori area). It is located on the southern part of Fira just a 10-minute walk from the capital's center.

The Cellar Door is open from April to October, daily, offering the authentic greek hospitality, cordial welcome, based on a different wine tourism model, pioneering & interactive and entertaining

After the tour, the visitor can select out of four different wine tastings. They can have a lunch in the restaurant that operates in the Winery daily. The environment exudes tranquility, away from the hustle, looking up on the hill of Fira to the west or gazing at the Aegean Sea towards the East. The menu has a modern Greek orientation with a Mediterranean touch.  

In the yard, a place of relaxation and wellness is been devoted, where the therapist offers the visitors the Lenga face and hand grape ritual.

Thus, the visitors complete a unique winetourism experience that connects the ancient vine to today's wine, the wine to the flavour & wine to wellness, creating lifetime memories that will last forever
